As we celebrate Errol Flynn, let us salute the beautiful women who over the years were his co-stars.
Errol Flynn made 55 motion pictures from 1933-1959. Even though his last work was in a film over 51 years ago many of his leading ladies are still alive.
I was able to document that 17 of Errol Flynn's leading ladies are thankfully still with us. Who are they?
Let us salute them by remembering them:
Can you identify the 17?
Best Wishes

Hi Ralph;
This is a great idea, but a tough question. 17 co-stars – oh boy! I can up with 17 names – but would not call all of them co-stars – 10 for sure.
Here it goes – Co-Stars
1. Olivia de Havilland – eight movies
2. Patrice Wymore – Rocky Mountain, Kings Rhapsody
3. Eleanore Parker – Never Say Goodbye, Escape me Never
4. Maureen O'Hara – Against all Flags
5. Juliette Gréco – The Roots of Heaven
6. Dorothy Malone – To Much – To Soon
7. Rosanna Rory – The Big Boodle
8. Cornell Borchers – Istanbul
9. Gina Lollobrigida – Crossed Swords
10. Micheline Presle – Captain Fabian
Now I am stretching the Co-Stardom
11. Patricia Barry – The Golden Shanty
12. Waltraut Haas – William Tell – she was the intended Co-Star
13. Ivonne Furnneaux – Master of Ballantrea, The Dark Avenger
14. Doris Day – It's a Great Feeling
15. Jean Kent – EF Theater
16. Sherry Jackson – Hello God
17. Jacky Jackler – Cuban Rebel Girls
Anyway – dear Ralph what is your list? I love to see it!
Thanks for the great brainwork!

Tina did her homework and got over 90% of the 17 including some of the most difficult ones. I thought for certain I would stump everyone with Waltnaut Hass, who was Errol Flynn's enchanting-looking co-star of the star crossed “The Story Of William Tell”, but Tina nailed it!
She also identified three more actresses that I failed to catch, these are:
Jacky Jackler of “Cuban Rebel Girls” (1959)
Jean Kent from “The Errol Flynn Theatre” an episode entitled “The 1001 Night Of Don Juan”
Patricia Barry of “The Goodyear Theatre” episode entitled “The Golden Shanty”
The very few missed by Tine are”
Nanette Fabares “The Private Lives Of Elizabeth And Essex” (1937) as the Queen's (Bette Davis) lady-in-waiting
Ann Rutherford “The Adventures Of Don Juan” (1949)
Alice Kelly “Against All Flags” (1952) playing the exotic and beautiful Princess that Errol Flynn teaches to kiss and say 'Again!'
Judy Wyler “Errol Flyn Theatre” same episode as Jean Kent 'Don Juan'.
My guess is that there are a few more we might have missed somewhere.
Thanks

Hi Ralph;
Thank you for your compliment, very appreciated. I would have got all of them, but you stymied me with the word “CO-Star” “Leading Ladies” and real Co-Stars I only could find ten of them and I am sure there are no more than those ten I listed.
It was great brain work and fun too!
There is one more in Cuban Rebel Girls “Marie Edmund”, but I thought that is a little far fetched so I deleted her If we are looking for just actresses playing in films with Errol I am sure there are more than 17. I will have look.
Anyway – it was good entertainment maybe you come up with some other ones. What about how many books where written about Errol name the tiles and authors – separate the good books from the bad ones. Or name all the Animals Errol had by name!
But you maybe have a better one up your sleeve!
Thanks for getting us into a good game.

There are leading ladies, and then there are co-stars.

True, true…it is like saying Patti Brady is a leading lady instead of a costar….

Hi Elayna;
I am very sorry about this faux pas I made of “Leading Ladies” and “Co-Stars”.
You see, as I am not from the theater and never thought much about these two terms I made the mistake thinking they are both the same. Obviously not, as you put it, one is more than the other. I know better now and I stand corrected! Thank you for pointing that out to me.
We just never finish learning in life – do we?
Best regards,
Tina

No apology needed! I hope my post wasn't taken the wrong way, not my intention at all. :) I'm just partial to Olivia.
My hat's off to anybody who can list all Errol's female co-stars. :)
