When I was first reading MWWW I came across the part where Errol says he saw this edition of Life on the news stand with his picture on the cover. So I looked around and bought myself a copy. It was nice to be looking at the same magazine that he was talking about in the book.
I believe a copy of this Life Magazine is buried in a time capsule below the site of the 1938 World’s Fair, with the intent of being opened in 2938. Life’s odd and contrived cover pose and aim of the writer are suspect IMO (with the description “Glamor Boy’ also being highly questionable), but, nevertheless, the content of the article confirms Errol to be a truly unique superstar.

Love that one… but he looks uncomfortable somehow.
