I watched a bio on the late Tony Curtis and was very suprised to find
that he was a big fan of Errol Flynn, in fact it was Errol's movies that inspired him to get into acting. He used to act out scenes from the “charge of the light brigade” and “Robin Hood” as a child and he had a lot in common with Errol too, I think they both had that lovable roguish demeanour about them, both struggled to be recognized as “actors” and both had difficult relationships with their mothers, does anyone else agree?

Yes, tony had a lot of respect for Flynn and was always kind about mentioning his help when he Curtis got out to Hollywood – you can see a posting by Tom McNulty here on the block that shows Errol and Tony and by Tony's focused gaze you can tell he is receiving a bit of advice!
