This is the edition I own, and I was so surprised to find that the captions to some of the photos were wrong!!! For example, the person who wrote them mixed up Ann Sheridan and Alexis Smith, Montana and Silver River and made Robert Ford into a director of Flynn's!!!!! I hope it was not Jeffrey Meyers, who wrote the introduction, since he is considered a Flynn expert???

Are you saying Cooper Square Press put an article of their own in the book? Like a Preface? If so, this is unbelievable and unheard-of to do so and then with mistakes like this. I have four MWWW and in none is an “extra” printed. Do they have a right to do that? Does that not impair authentication?

No, Tina, what I meant was that there are photographs in the middle of the book, but the captions of these photographs are partly wrong.

I see – they added photographs to the book – my books have no photographs.

I did hear that this edition was published without proper permission and was supposedly to be withdrawn from bookstores. However, this is the standard edition of MWWW that is for sale in Waterstones, the largest book retailers in the UK. I don't have a copy so can't comment any further but would be interesting to know just what the legal situation was/is.
best,
Brian.

I am so glad for you Robert – mine is signed too.
Errol left my signed edition with Putnam in their volts with my name on it! Errol thought – just in case if I wished to get the book years later it should be there ready for me to pick it up!.
Errol was always so very thoughtful! Bless his heart!
