I wonder what story is in this magazine about Errol? It says “September” but not what year? This magazine refers itself as “The Magazine for Men” – interesting! Has anybody got this magazine? It is confirmed, this issue is from September 1962!

Tina,
I wonder about this magazine myself when I saw the cover online. I wonder what the article is about him and Frank Sinatra in the magazine and I think the magazine is called, “Saga”. I think so????

The article tease is a play on words, not literally meaning that the word is a naughty one, but one that, in it's context with Flynn and Sinatra, could be interpreted as such. For instance, in English we will often say something like “love is a four-letter word”, implying that love can sometimes be bad. Verstehen?

Since The Birdman of Alcatraz (Robert Stroud) died in 1963 after 54 years of incarceration, the year of publication would appear to be 1962.
