Bye the way – that is the true coloring of Errol – in life – hair, eyes and mustache. His pictures and movies very rarely show his true coloring with the exception of Essex. Great find keep up the good work!

I can see, Tina that this is what he looked like outside of Essex. The coloring, the hair, the teeth, and the tan.

You don’t believe me, which is o.k. but on the other hand I may know something did you ever thought about that? Maybe Steve Hayes could to verify it?

It’s just that there is no “one way” someone really looks–Errol or any of us. As I pointed out earlier in this blog much has to do with environment in any photo, and even in reality our “look” changes because of many factors. People who only knew Flynn at the marina might have known him as dry-haired blond with light eyes, others who only saw him at home might have known him as dark-haired and darker eyed. My own hair, for instance, ranges from light blonde after lots of summer sun, to almost dark brown after a winter indoors. Which is the true color? And as for this particular photo, I’ve never been fully convinced it’s not a tinted b&w. There is something not quite right about it and I’ve studied it for years.

In the end it does feel like the subject for a teen idol blog, no?!

Mary Ann, do you have the magazine and could you post the article, too? Would be great!
