From Errol’s era in Hobart

This Youtube video is dated 1913 to 1930 and really shows what Hobart was like when Errol was a boy. Who knows if in the background of this footage there wanders the young scalawag ‘Errol’ himself, or his Mom and Dad? – thanks to Chris Driscoll!

    Fantastic !
    I think I spotted Errol on the carousel. …just kidding
    At around 1.29min you see one of the old piers in the background. I can’t name it right now, but it’s still there. Steve might come up with the name.

    Hi David;
    I just found this wonderful video from Chris Driscoll, what a gem! It sure looks like that people had great fun that day of the regatta! Errol was 4 years old and maybe his parents took him to the midway activities? Quite possible!

    Amazing foortge… !I just let my imagination run wild.. I think of Errol’s love of the water and ships, and I can picture him there among the crowd.. Thanks David, and of course Chris!!
