Good God, wondering who’d be next, I almost wrote yesterday that these things do seem to come in threes – Eleanor, O’Toole – and now Livvie’s sister Joan. I held back, though, not wanting to curse anybody!!! … Now there should be a break.
BTW, the DeHavillands sure got some good DNA – living this long!! Stay to 100 and beyond, Olivia!
Oh, I may as well say it: She was extremely jealous of Olivia with Errol, and spoke very badly of Errol – most notably and most destructively perhaps to Charles Higham, whom she and all of Hollywood knew to be a no-good scandal-mongering fraud – aiming to destroy Flynn, all because the endlessly bitter Higham could never be anywhere near the man Errol was.
Wow. I guess it’s the end of an era. RIP Joan. My condolences to her family, including her sister Olivia. And I send thoughts and prayers to Olivia, hoping she is well.
