    Yes they were friends. It seems Mickey{Joe} in the end had many wives children and lived life to a certain fullness. then he dies almost broke just like his friend Errol. Two of a kind that may have understood that you can’t take it with you! I Have this photo also and it reminds me of me Dad after many years of drinking and living to the full.
