In an article reporting the stunning success of Spain’s left-wing Podemos Party in this week’s European Parliament elections, the New York Times reprised a comparison of the party’s very young, handsome & popular candidate, Pablo Iglesias, to Our Man Flynn. Looks like it’s not the last of Robin Hood:
For our Spanish-speaking audience:

In terms of look and charisma, Errol is way up than this fellow. But I appreciate Errol has not been forgotten. Referencing to him can happen at unexpected places.
You know we should do a post letting everyone try to find songs dedicated to him or mentioning his name. Just by causally surfing the web, I found quite a few.
Also in other countries, I believe Errol is still a recognizable name.

Yes, errolsfan, you’re right. Referencing Flynn is akin to referencing Hercules. No one seriously believes any of us mere mortals could actually replicate the strength & feats of Hercules, but “Herculean” is still used to compliment exceptional (human) efforts. Likewise, when invoking the name of Senor Flynn!
P.S. GREAT idea creating a post including songs about, referencing, or dedicated to Mr. Flynn!!! Go for it!
How about songs played to or around Errol?

But I am not an author here. By the way, how could I be an author here so I can initiate a post (I do have a lot I could post)?
