I have viewed the blog but never posted. Thank you David and all of the members for your wonderful posts, facts and pictures. What I lack in knowledge I will make up for with enthusiasm.
Does anyone know the location of the pool shots with Errol and Beverly? I have read the Garden of Allah but the pools don’t seem to match. Thank you in advance and Best Wishes,

Welcome aboard. Greg!
I, too, have wondered where this photo was (really) shot. Regurgitated reports do indeed say it was at the Garden of Allah, but you correctly observe that that famous pool does not match up. Here is a site with historic photos, plus a video from 1959 (just prior to Errol’s death, I believe) proving that:

I believe I read once that the location may have been the Roosevelt Hotel, but I’m not sure that’s correct, either. I’ve been there several times since the 80’s and can’t see the resemblance, unless, perhaps there was a second pool I’m not aware of.
To me, the brick and small confined pool looks like it would more likely be down the boulevard a few blocks at the Knickerbocker, where Elvis was staying in the late 50’s. Bev would have liked that.

Now all is clear!
Thanks to Errol Reichow son of Otto we now all know that these pictures were taken at Otto Reichow’s home in 1959 and only a few days away of Errol’s passing.

Thank you very much Errol Reichow.
