“THE CANDY KID”!!!

This could have/would have been great! A Bordon Chase script for Errol! Right around the time of Red River!

Whatever happened to the plans for that movie?

I don’t know, Maria. Pure speculation: Perhaps Errol told JW to shove it and took off on his Cruise of the Zaca instead!

      Here’s some more info:

Or perhaps Errol didn’t think he could top the earlier version with Oliver Hardy, back when he went by Babe!

From the writer of “Red River”? It hurts me to think of the potential. Perhaps it was abandoned because Flynn had just made “Silver River” which also cast him as a gambler.

Excellent point, zacal. That makes a lot of sense.

Though no Errol Flynn (who ever has been?!) Borden Chase was a fascinating character in his own write (so to speak).
