Otto, Bev and Errol

In response to the September 8th, 2011 post about Otto Reichow:

He was a friend of Flynn’s; maybe more closely in the end than others.  Bev, Errol, Otto and his lady were at the much-publicized pool photos mentioned (minus the Caldough photos at the same pool for LIFE MAGAZINE).  They were having fun when a paparazzi was there taking pics.  Bev turned his attention with pics while they called the police.  Long story short, those pics weren’t for the media.  They were candids.  Here’s Otto with Bev and Errol at the same time.  I have another somewhere that I will dig up from the same day that shows Otto holding Bev up

    Fascinating, Delvan. Thank you. …. A couple of questions!

    One: This photo is almost always said to have been taken at the Garden of Allah, but the setting is unfamiliar to me and doesn’t appear to be the famous GofA pool. Is there any further info available regarding he location of this pool?

    TWO: Especially with Otto Reichow’s 100th coming up in early December, it would be great to know more about him and his relationship with Errol. By any chance, do you know the extent, nature and circumstances of Errol’s friendship with Otto? I think it’s particularly significant, not only because he was one of Errol’s pall bearers, but also because he was said to be such a notably active and devoted Hiltler-hating anti-Nazi.
