Sad Patrice’s Day

Dear fellow Flynn fans,

it was almost one year ago that Errol`s third wife Pat passed.

While he wrote about her:

“Nobody ever tried harder to make me happy than Patrice .”

She said about him:

“I wish I could be angry at Errol, but I just can`t.”

    I can’t believe it has been a year. I often think about how hard it must have been for Patrice after Errol died. She made me a fan when she said “Errol just lost his way”. What a kind and loving thing to say.

    I said “Hi” to her once! Errol seems so far away but it wasn’t that long ago. Patrice truly carried on Flynn’s legacy by continuing to live in Jamaica. She shared his love for the place.(My problem was the mosquitoes. Damn, I hate those things.) I was really intrigued when I finally saw their film “Rocky Mountain”. Flynn was so self assured. He was able to underplay the role and convey so much more. Oscar winner Peter Finch said Flynn told him, “Stop acting! Look at me. I don’t act and I’m a star.”
