What? Is this picture real? Or photoshop?

It’s real, and photoshopped, zacal. Cropped from a candid photo taken on what I believe to be the set of Sea Hawk, with blue tinting added to enhance the Yankee theme.

This would have been a DiMaggio Era jacket, something not easily obtained in those days – not like in recent years when these can be purchased by the public. I’m thinking that Errol likely got this from someone on or very connected to the Yankees, perhaps in New York, or in LA during filming of a Yankee-related movie. However he got it, it’s a real rarity and Yankee treasure!

Maybe it was a gift from Joe DiMarilyn after all. Don Juan costume designer Majorie Best once admonished Errol for wearing Red Sox to a tuxedo. So the Yanks may well have tried to lure him to the other side.

          AWESOME photo, yankeeheinz!

The Great One, The Great DiMaggio & Errol Flynn hanging at Toots Shor’s!!! Wonderful!

Nothing wrong with The Great Flynn wearing both Yankee Blue and Red Sox, too. After all, the King of Swat did. Here he is as a Red Sock on the cover of “Babe Ruth: Against All Odds”, for which one of my sons designed the cover:
