From one of her first roles as the enchantress, Esmeralda opposite Charles Laughtons’ “Hunchback” to John Candy’s mother in “Only the Lonely” to roles opposite Our Man Flynn and Fox’s resident swashbuckler, Tyrone Power; she was always a beautiful and powerful screen presence. RIP, Maureen O’Hara!–A. R.
A beautiful lady who lit up the screen. I met her once and even in old age she was beautiful and strong. Sleep well and I hope you are with the angels.
I loved The Quiet Man and all the other great movies Maureen was in. Errol mentions her in MWWW and she
Mentions him in her memoirs as well! I remember Larry King interviewing her and her revealing that bathroom breaks were timed on the sets! What a lively personality!
A beautiful woman, a talented actress, a young boy/mans dream as was Livey and others in the dim past of the 50’s.
As sinbad said “Burning Bright”! Oh, that is my favorite flick she was in. Beautiful to the end! What a way to go! just slipping away in sleep, and yes Tim, may she be in paradise in the hands of God!
