Fifteen-year-old William F. Buckley Jr. was one its founders, Don Jan. I’m not sure how prominently he is recalled in Europe, but in America, as an adult, he was regarded as one of the most brilliant minds and debators in American politics.

Later in life, Buckley and David Niven became very close friends.
