I came across this letter from Errol to either Patrice or her father. It is for sale and I have attached the link:
I have never seen this before.

Amazing the price for this letter. I wonder if this is about building the house on Jamaica?

Hi Twin archers. I tried finding out a but more. Just researching on line I found articles about oil and gas exploration in Jamaica starting in the 1950’s which would be in Errol’s time frame. Wouldn’t that have been something if he had oil on his land! I think this letter is to Patrice’s father.

I wonder if Errol consulted his Giant wildcatting friend Diamond Glenn McCarthy over this. This kind of venture seems so perfectly Errol, the very thing that drew him to the New Guinea, and then on to the Hollywood gold fields.

I wonder if “Tiger Jim” is a humorous reference to Jim Corbett, the legendary British tiger hunter? Errol would have unquestionably been familiar with Corbett, not only because “Colonel Corbett” was famous in his own right, but also because Errol so famously played the ‘other’ Jim Corbett.
Plus, if I’m not mistaken, Errol hunted tigers in India not long before writing this letter, during the filming of Kim.
… Perhaps Patrice was known to do some hunting of her own, and/ or exhibited similar traits in Errol’s experience?
