    Thanks Tim; I visited the museum way back in 1982 but I’m sure it is so much grander today. I recall one room devoted to John Wayne. I hope that is still there? Ralph Schiller

      And here he is memorialized in bronze, Ralph – with another great sculpture – of American hero Abe Lincoln from your great state of Illinois – in the background.

    I haven’t been there, Ralph. Very cool that you have been. I don’t know about the room devoted to Duke, but it’s clear from what I have seen that he is a big part of the museum. Here’s a touching video tribute from the museum and Wayne family:

      Tim; The photo above looks like one corner of the John Wayne room. I love that bronze statue of Wayne from the final moments of his John Ford masterpiece ‘The Searchers’ (1956). God bless you Duke! Ralph Schiller
