No one topped Pop! He was the Harry James of ex-husband letter-writing. (Did Harry James write letters to ex-wives?)
btw, knowing Lili, as all of us here do, she surely would have showed up as one spectacularly sexy showstopper, aiming to top all the other Mrs. Errol Flynns at Mulholland.
And here’s 803 N. Rodeo Drive, where “Lilli” and Sean lived (During the years Sean was at Black-Foxe Military Academy, where the recently departed Gene Wilder also briefly attended several years earlier.)
Per Jack Warner’s phone book during those years, “Lily” – located below Dunne and DeHavilland, between Disney and Dali – could be telephoned at CR1-8007
Thank you David and Karl…
I needed a good uplifting story as this letter has been very humorous this morning. I wonder was Errol serious about needing the money or was it a dig. as to the money drain by his ex’s?? POP, that’s very interesting…… Seeing Sean in that period brings back many memories and I wish I could go back sometimes…..
Although Errol rounds it all up complimenting Lili and I persieve they were still on friendly terms?
JW’s phone book, how cool….
That letter is a treat! I wonder if POP means “Poor old Pop”? I also wondered what the gathering was that Lili would attend at Mulholland? Maybe a birthday party for Sean?

Karl is our very own private detective who quietly finds little treasures that he shares with us. Thanks Karl, Ralph Schiller

Good thinking, Maria. Maybe It was a birthday party for Sean whose 10th Birthday was only a few days earlier, on May 31, 1951.
