Thanks very much, Ralph. I’ve seen online references to some of the great work you’ve done in connection with MIMC. As popular as he was, I wonder if any E. Phillip Oppenheim collectors or collection curators could shed any light on the last known whereabouts of the film. Perhaps destroyed during the war over London? Or perhaps a copy was shipped to WB HQ in Hollywood? Perchance Oppenheimer received a copy, or maybe even Flynn himself liberated a print and it’s in the Roddy McDowell Collection. Or is the film itself collecting – collecting dust
in some English attic or Hollywood basement?
With Errol skyrocketing to such superstardom so soon after its filming, it’s hard to believe JW or the WB would lose track of all the prints.
