A Very Merry Christmas to EFB members

21 Dec

To all Errol Flynn Blog members, wishing you a Very Merry Christmas from Australia! Here’s my annual handmade Christmas Greeting Card creation.

My first time posting it on EFB, as this year I’ve included an ode to Errol … he being the Santa (from Escape Me Never) escaping the frame at stage left! Enjoy, I raise my glass!

Cheers, Philip

On the western fringe of the wheatbelt, outside of the regional centre of Northam. The Great Eastern Highway cuts a swath across the fields toward perth - only another 105 kms away, Northam, WA, Australia

It`s a long way from Perth to Punxsutawney, Phil. But with Errol at your side, no road is too steep and no ocean to wide. Merry X- mas from Vienna!

Philip, I have resized your image. You had chosen thumbnail to display the image. If you have inserted an image into your post and it looks too small or too large (not showing a border on all sides, for example) tap the image and a toolbar pops up. Click the pencil icon. Under Size choose Custom Size and enlarge or reduce the left side box (the right side adjusts itself) and click Update. Then click Update again in the post window. You can use the Preview button to see the change you made first if you like …

I love it Philip. Very creative. By any chance, is the location in this photo near the intersection of Christmas Road and the Great Eastern Highway? …. Also, have you ever heard if Errol ever made it to Perth?

    Thanks,

    Tim

Ah, you picked it … yes it’s Great Eastern Highway. Santas’ are finding it a bit barren and want to get the hell out of there. I’m confident Errol never made it to Australia’s West Coast. Too bad. And it’s a pity he never actually returned to his country of birth, the source of so much of his character and charm, after making it big in Hollywood. It was probably because his parents moved to Belfast and no longer used Sydney or Hobart as their permanent base.
