I’m thinking it might be an Australian thing, swinginheinz.

p.s. I’m friends with Sia’s keyboard player, Joey Kennedy.
p.s.2 I added a photographic clue above, with one of the two well known women in this story, the one sitting to Errol’s left.

Greet me Sia, if you see her, Questionmark Tim. Whatta great voice!
The woman to the left was heiress Doris Duke. About their clandestine conversation, I have to keep on guessing. Maybe: “Doris dear, is that a chandelier made of rubirosas…?

Correctamundo, barring the Rubirosas, muchograndeheinz!
It was indeed Duke that Baron bantered with about the chandelier.
I will very soon post another photoclue above involving who Errol was quipping to with the alliterative Doris Doris when he quipped the quip being queried by this quiz.

One of them used to occasionally live and play here, between the AMAZING Atlantic and BIG LEAGUE Lake Worth, between the ocean and lake. (And, no, I’m not alluding to Lili Loomis’s last lair in Florida, the rear of which can be seen a skip beyond and to left of the “Spa” sign):

The other one used to rough it in this here uppity summer cottage, which, as upscale as it may seem, doesn’t trump the TREMENDOUS home above:

If not for your tipp about the mighty impressive crib, Googleman Tim, I would’ve bet the quizical quote had taken place in .Barbara Hutton’s palace in Morocco. (“Is this Tangiers!? Then it must be Tuesday…”). Anyways it steered me into the right direction and I got the answer via this interesting article www.schoolfieldcountryhouse.com…
One has to admit it was a fine quip

Chapeau, Sir Chandeheinz!! You win the brass ring, I mean glass earring! As they uses to say out by DD’s Shangri-La, Mau Hoohiwahiwa!
“Doris, What are you doing with one of Betty’s earrings?” asked the Quipmaster of Mulholland!
(The Poor Little Rich Girl owned some VERY BIG earrings … and boy toys.)
Here’s an article from earlier this week that introduces the quote more accurately, as we all here know that The Mighty Flynn was certainly no sychophant:
