Time to dust off the little grey cells! They were related to the Lupino family – Ida Lupino was a special part of Errol’s life.

Wow, Maria! I had no idea of the Lupino Family relationship! You get a big Win for that.

What I was thinking of relates to a song they recorded. The famous songstress shown below also recorded it, albeit with lyrical editing.

She also sang live in Downtown Toronto on “Give Peace a Chance”. See @ ~ 4:07-11 in this video: www.youtube.com…

A superb but lyrically shortened cover of the Beverley Sisters’ version. What is the relevant difference?

Here are the original lyrics of Teasing, as sang by the Beverley Sisters, featuring the Flynnman himself! They can be found at this link, but with the wrong recording! (As Petula might sing/say, It’s a Sign of the Times.)

Mummy told me she would scold me
          If a boy I kissed
          But I can’t resist teasin’
Always gets `em, it upsets `em
          But what can I do
‘Cause it’s all so new, teasin’

Now the good book says that nothing repays
The harm a life of sin does
But I must confide, we can’t decide
‘Til we find what it is that Errol Flynn does

Mummy told me she would scold me
          If a boy I kissed
          But I can’t resist teasin’

At the riding school, the teacher was cool
And he seemed a harmless person
But after the ride he took me aside,
And was I glad I kept my spurs on

Always gets `em, it upsets `em
          But what can I do
‘Cause it’s all so new, teasin’

There’s a boy I like who likes to hike
          But in no uncertain language
I refused to stop when he said he’d drop
If he didn’t have a nibble at my corned beef sandwich

Mummy told me she would scold me
          If a boy I kissed
          But I can’t resist teasin’

Now it’s love that makes this world go round
‘Cause we all love hanky-panky (Do ya)

What a nice photo of pretty Pet! “Don’t sleep in the subway darlin, don’t stand in the pouring rain”
As an old London acquaintance once said to me” legs up to there”…LOL!
