I love the photo of Errol and the plane. As I’ve stated before,
the resemblance of my dad and Errol is uncanny. When dad came out of the Pacific theater WWII he flew many old craft and had an airport in the 60’s. I had the honor of riding an old single cylinder tractor pulling 13 blades cutting the airfield. My pay was a tank of aircraft fuel and I used it well to drag race bigger cars than mine.LOL. Dad was a cousin of the Irish as his mother was a Scot named Laird! I just cannot get over the action packed life of Errol and he even had time for family. That’s the Gemini energy and my dad was a Sag but not as fast as Errol me thinks.

Supercool, timerider!! Sailor, drag racer, flyer(?), and single-cylinder tractor-man! Awesome!

Speaking of mid-century flying machines, Errol’s legendary acrobatic-ace flying instructor – Tex Rankin- was mentioned in the news a couple of days ago:

My dad flew upside down too often for me..LOL…..
The name Rankin is a very interesting study in ancestry.
Oh well that’s for another time.
