Livvie wsa the most beautiful of all of them, I will be 75 on Sept. 16, I have been in love with her for 60 of those 75 years, we were both in the North / South mini series with Patrick Swazye, I was his artillery Lt. and she was a nurse in a Yankee hospital, when she was ask to play the part, she ask if she was to be a Southern nurse, they told her no, but she would be working on Southern soldiers, and she then said yes; I was called home for a sick child so I missed meeting her and Robert Mitchum , who played the surgeon that operated on Swayze! Ms. Beverly Aadland and I share the same birthday, Sept. 16, 1942! I met her at the Copa Nightclub in Cleveland, OH during the winter of 1961/62 where she was singing.

Thank you for the Birthday wish, Livvie and I corresponded in 1985 after she returned home to Paris, and exchanged photos, I have one letter from her and one from her secretary, informing me that she had been called to the states as a family member was ill, I don’t know if it was Ms. Fontaine or another family member. The photo she sent was of her in GWTW, I always wonder how Errol would have been as Rhett Butler, I saw the offer they made to him of $50,000.00, half of what Gable was paid! I believe Errol was the second choice, Margret Mitchell insisted on Gable, he really didn’t want to do it, but was under contract, and his studio head was punishing him, for some reason!

“Having this case resolved quickly is particularly meaningful to the plaintiff, who is defending the reputation of grace and integrity that she has built over the course of her 80-year career.”

Congrats Itsy Bitsy Teenie Gene. Here is Lady Livvie and the cape of things to come. What I love about this blog is that Northerners and Southerners alike share their expreriences, insights and emotions on Errol & Co.
