“Way back when, major corporations had customer relations departments where they offered free informational materials to consumers. Many public school students, upon writing to Public Relations departments were treated to a variety of well-produced material. Such was the case of the Bulova Watch Company and its publication of “It’s Time You Knew.” This volume presented a multitude of facts and oddities, along with accompanying beautiful illustrations, much in the style of “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!” Published during WWII there are many features related to the U.S. war effort. There are also an abundant amount of articles and portraits of some of the contemporary show business stars, like Jimmy Durante, Marlene Dietrich, Cary Grant, and many more. Sprinkled about are interesting facts about, of course, Bulova watches. For further amusement each article contains a related quiz with all answers located at the rear pages. For a delightful delve into the 1940s this book can’t be beat!”

Christian is not an ancestor but midshipman Young was and sailed on the bounty in mutiny. The olympics is another fantasy…..
