Los Hijos de Errol Flynn

“During the Spanish Civil War, Errol Flynn decided to travel to Spain as an adventure, in his memoirs he tells that he met Estrella, his love. This documentary is the search for Estrella and all the broken love stories with the end of the war.”

Los Hijos de Errol Flynn will travel to the United States for the Hispanic Culture Film Festival in Saint Augustine, Florida. The festival will be held from October 4 to 6.

Exactly who was Estrella? Excellent question.

Any opinions out there in Flynnland who Errol’s alleged “love” in Spain was? www.vinilosa2duros.com…

I can only agree with David’s comment. I hope this film is available in either English or with sub-titles! Ralph Schiller

great digging, farmerheinz. Errol Flynn and Frances Farmer!! What a combo!! Good thing Flynn didn’t bring her over to Spain with him. Franco would have really hated Frances.

Of course, the action Errol saw in Spain wasn’t nearly as explosive as the conflict he e experenced in Paris days before with Tiger Lili.

Greetings from Spain and congratulations to this blog for compiling the exciting life of Errol Flynn, which is still current as always, why will it be? …
I wanted to share with you information that affects me personally.
I know very well the short documentary entitled “Los hijos de Errol Flynn”, because the author Juan Castillejo is from Albacete (Spain) as well as me, and he also had a personal interview with me (after having seen a large report published in the Spanish press mine about part of my investigation of the trip to Spain in 1937) to ask me what I knew or knew about Errol Flynn’s visit.
The only investigation carried out by the author of this documentary has been to read Errol Flynn’s autobiography and the conversation he had with me two years ago because he was interested in me going out explaining the methodology and results of the investigation of said trip to Spain.
Before this proposal I told him that I was NOT interested because it was a very ambitious project and of rigorous study on this trip and its political-military consequences in Spain, and that I did not want a product of little rigor to be made telling a love story with Estrella whose only source was the quote from the autobiography of Errol Flynn.
After the interview Juan Castillejo and his companion assured me that they gave up the idea of their project and that they would respect our project and historical research that already lasts more than 4 years on this exciting trip to our country (and that I am still taking to produce a documentary that is very advanced, and with very interesting results, and with interviews, documentation and others that in the not too distant future I can show you).
Regarding the content, I anticipate that nothing contributes, because it is not about the trip, nor even tells or describes his stay in Spain, but uses the name of Errol Flynn and his “children” to tell some love stories of the town’s people author and other small towns, showing interviews with descendants of these that have nothing to do with love or descendants of Errol Flynn.
I advised him not to do it, because it could cause expectations and deceit to the public, using a beautiful title “The children of Errol Flynn”, to invent a “love” with “Star ?????”, which can not even prove nor has he spent a second researching, and incidentally we were plagiarized by the idea of telling Errol and Erben’s wonderful and intriguing trip to Spain.
Nor do I want to take away the illusion of seeing it, because all of us here are passionate about Errol Flynn’s life, but I think that memory has been lacking and especially all of us who love and spend time and money in learning and knowing The life of our Errol, in addition to the content of said documentary lacks the licenses and permits of the owners of the few images and videos that are shown (photograph in Albacete, excerpt from Capitan Blood, and Photoplay magazine).
I accompany you the link of the only work of this “Mr.” Juan Castillejo so you can check the professional level of it and a sample of what you will see in “Los hijos de Errol Flynn”:

Thank you in advance for your reading, and I could not resist telling this information, because behind this project there is a human and professional team that has been working and analyzing this trip in our Civil War for 4 years.

    stellar work, stellarheinz!

Could that be Infante Juan Count of Barcelona, then Heir Apparent of Spain? (aka “Don Juan”)

And, if so, noting the seating arrangement, could that be Maria de las Mercedes of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Countess of Barcelona? (Mother of future King Carlos I – María de las Mercedes Cristina Genara Isabel Luisa Carolina Victoria de Todos los Santos de Borbón-Dos Sicilias y Orléans)

We may need a Spanish Royalty/Spanish Civil War expert to figure out this mystery of Estrella … Or maybe we just need to watch the new doc Los Hijos de Errol Flynn”!

I’m José Luis García, I haven’t been here for a long time and I came across this curious comment from a fan so disrespectful of the work and investigation of a team of researchers who have been investigating Errol Flynn’s trip to Spain for 7 years, and who have the support of the Government of Castilla La Mancha to take his adventure to the cinema. Juanito (Juan Vicente Castillejo) will hardly be able to claim anything from the one who writes here, because the one who breaks the intellectual property laws is the same one who has copied our idea and research. If I have been a practicing lawyer for 30 years, I doubt that he has seen any lawyer in his short existence, so I am looking forward to receiving that claim, it will make me very happy. By the way, I invite you to read the wonderful book by our beloved and admired Robert Florczak where there are 2 contributions of mine.

Greetings to all of us who love our beloved Errol Flynn, the adventure continues.
