Errol Flynn away on a three-day holiday, destination unknown, just for a rest before he starts that new picture.
….
Where did Errol go? and What “new picture’ was Louella referring to??

He went north, not talking about south – over 1200 miles north

Two of these four Dawn Patrollers were there, and the fourth (on the phone) is very closely associated with another British Empire (“Hollywood Raj”) actor who was there.

Olivia was originally intended to star in the “new picture” referred to by Louella. But, ultimately, she was replaced by another gorgeous actress from the cast of Midsummer’s Night Dream.

Why did Errol head north, you ask?

Tim, I think my reply vanished. Sorry if it shows up again.
Anyway, is the movie Green Light? Charge of the Light Brigade was filmed earlier, and the only other titles I thought that fit that time were Green Light, Prince and the Pauper, and Another Dawn. Your clue about Olivia made me think of Green Light, as I believe she originally was announced and then of course replaced by Anita Louise, who was in Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Absolutely no idea about where he was headed. The clip makes me think of Canada or Alaska, but I’ve no idea about the statue, the Dawn Patrollers, or Jiminy Cricket.

Monday cameras start turning on Green Light, which stars Errol Flynn with Anita Louise in the feminine lead. At last Flynn will have a change of leading women, for Olivia de Havilland was previously set for this role. To Margaret Lindsay goes the femnine role that was first selected for Anita Louise. Sir Cedric Hardwicke is being imported from England for the character lead.

Tim, is the movie Green Light? Charge of the Light Brigade was filmed earlier in 1936, and that would leave Green Light, Another Dawn, and Prince and the Pauper presumably filmed around that time, altho I don’t know what the exact filming dates are. I think Olivia was initially set for Green Light but then of course replaced by Anita Louise, who was in Midsummer’s Night Dream.
No clue about the where. That clip makes me think Canada or Alaska if we’re talking due north more or less. No idea about the statue, the connection with Jiminy Cricket, or the Dawn Patrollers who were there.

Tim, that‘s definitely Stanley Park in Vancouver (I was there last September) where Errol played cricket at Brockton Point.
Here‘s one of my photos of the Pavillion that he and other Hollywood stars posed at. Unfortunately there were no stars there when I visited, just lots of Canadian natives.

Errol Flynn flew to Vancouver to play with the Hollywood Cricket Team. The doughty C. Aubrey Smith, Nigel Bruce and Merle Oberon’s boyfriend, David Niven, also are on the team.
