ABSOLUTELY, one of Warner’s truly UNDERRATED players who could sing, dance, act- ESPECIALLY in the area of comedy but no dramatic slouch either. A success in film, radio, TV and even UNSUNG as a circus clown (a sideline) during the 40s!
Like Alan Hale (as credited in MWWW), a FORMIDABLE screen presence if he wanted to steal a scene only~ was an ensemble player who beautifully blended in with all about him.
He made 11 films with Dennis Morgan and a few with our friend from Tasmania and… ALMOST married Doris Day but still managed to with 4 others!
Karl and Tim are right about Jack Carson. He had flawless comic timing and was an outstanding dramatic actor in films like “A Star Is Born” (1956). In “The Bramble Bush” (1960) Jack Carson stole this excellent drama from brilliant Richard Burton!
