…then he took Berlin.

12 Feb

Dear Flynnstones,

here are the Good, the Bad and the Lovely.

When Errol was trailblazing the Berlinale in 1957, even Goldfinger couldn‘t help but smile at cheeky Flynn getting kissed by a young Romy Schneider.

Enjoy,

Errol created quite a stir at the German Film Festival. Here he is walking the red carpet with Pat and his German voice over (of Kim, Istanbul, Forsyte Saga & Roots of Heaven) Wolfgang Lukschy, a well known actor in his own right: m.youtube.com…

She had the quintessential looks of the “Wiener Mädl“, the Vienna girlie, if you will. Both of her parents had been actors, who initially kept her from the stage as an intern of a boarding school. She, a little like Errol, didn‘t get any visits not even on holidays and felt very lonely. Her career showed her a way out of that misery. Her mother Magda immediately took on the role of scating mom. Real liberation came later with her French arthouse films.
