So aside from Lucy not being real (I actually felt so sorry for her that I googled her fate), Dook aka Trelawney dying heroically aboard the Sirocco, also isn’t real. I just read a letter Flynn wrote to his father on May 24, 1932 about Trelawney being his Tobacco partner in PNG, that’s 1.5 years after he supposedly died! I was so down and melancholic after Beam Ends as I had gotten very much attached to Dook and here he was, alive 1.5 years after his “death!” LOL!

Also since I read MWWW before BE, I did not notice that Flynn mentioned or slipped that he sold the Sirocco to get his Tobacco plantation, sigh!

But apparently he really did kill a papuan as that was also in another letter to his father.

I wonder how Dook faired after PNG? Hmmmm….

Ps. That site is fantastic btw! I’ve gotten so many mag, newspaper clippings and even that New Guinea book Errol read, the one his father sent to him, all free from that 1 site.
