Dear Flynnstones,
socialite Countess Dorothy DiFrasso (here strolling with another millionaire heiress, a fox fur wearing Barbara Hutton) lent her Bel Air estate to Freddie McEvoy. Take a peak at the mansion, where Errol Flynn mingled with Betty Hansen and see the blue room, which caused much gloom.
Enjoy,

Holmes Heinz;
Thank-you for finding this terrific article on Coleen Moore’s Hollywood mansion. Miss Moore donated her fabled dream, dollhouse to Chicago’s Museum Of Science And Industry. It is one of the most popular and beloved exhibits in this enormous museum, which has a German U-boat, the U-505, open to tours and a real coal mine underneath the building where you ride the coal miners train to see the mine tunnels. “Coleen Moore’s Fairy Tale Castle” is elaborate, and grand-sized with everything accurate down to the last details. Over the decades Moore would visit the museum and make additions to her castle. It takes up a large room for viewing and is preserved behind glass, Mmuseum visitors line up to see it every day. She was a great lady. Read the “True Crime” book “A Cast Of Killers” by Sidney Kirkpatrick about the murder of film director William Desmond Taylor where Moore and her director King Vidor figure prominently.

Rushmore Ralph, thank you for one more true Tinseltown crime book proposal. There is no rest for an armchair detective. The mansion‘s long list of owners may need some revision: athomeinhollywood.com…
