I was living a wonderful childhood in Brooklyn, twinarchers, some of which is depicted during the beautiful saxophone solo (2:50 – 3:16) in the video below. I am the oldest boy. From the expression of joy on our faces, my family may be watching one of Errol’s swashbuckling masterpieces – one of our most favorite things to do!

I was ten years old in 1959. I remember seeing Errol playing a bum on the Red Skeleton Show. And reading about his passing in my father’s newspaper. A paper I would later work for for 15 years. We kids played Robin Hood eith cardboard Armor and wooden swords.

I was only three when Errol passed. (born 06/09/1956) 1959 was the year my parents split up and my mom, my brothers and I moved from Manhattan to the scenic south Bronx. My father bore a slight resemblance to Flynn. (He sported the “Flynn” mustache.) Did not know who Flynn was until I picked up a copy of his autobiography, circa 1974 or ’75; although two of my favorite films were “Dodge City” and “The Prince and the Pauper!–A. R.
