Found this poster in the Flynn closet.  Haven’t seen this one in many years.  Anybody else have this one?

Haven’t seen this one forever, Delvan. Good performances as I recall, especially for an 80’s telefilm. They definitely picked an excellent part of Errol’s life to focus on – from circa ’35 to ’43, if I recall correctly. I’d love to see those years revisited in a high-quality big screen production. If only they can find the right script, director, Flynn & La Dynamita!!!!

I never saw this production. Tiz a true title “The legend of Errol Flynn” I discern they used some creative license? The actor looks a little more like Fairbanks. Maybe it’s on YouTube? I will check fer sher.

This must be the film Kevin Kline was referring to when he said he had turned down the role before. Duncan Regehr was certainly acceptable in the role but it was strictly a one note performance.(sounding more like Ronald Colman than Errol Flynn) Also, it portrayed Flynn as a victim throughout, rather than the bold instigator. As a whole, the TV movie was more superficial “entertainment” and lacked any real substance. But at least they didn’t shoot it with the original actor they had announced for the role:
    Wayne Newton.

Was that a fig newton of my imagination, or did you just say Wayne Newton, zacal!

      Danke Schoen!

P.S. Though I do think he’s quite a ham, and much better suited for Vegas Vacation, he did show himself to be a stand up guy against Higham’s pigshit:
