    Hi David;
    Now that brings back wonderful Memories!

    It is the year 1951, I think is was spring and Montana is playing in one cinema of my hometown, three performances a day – 4:30, 7:00 and 9:30 pm and it is playing for 7 days – 21 performances and I saw every one of it.
    Of course the movie was synchronized into German. Sadly I did not hear Errol speak! But at that time I didn’t know any better anyway. Also the song “Reckon I’m in Love” was in German. In the dark I written down the words at every performance a little until I had it all. Still have it!
    Those where the days my friend, we thought they never end…..
    Take care!

      Tina! That is dedication! I love this story you told us! Bavk inthe day, BC (Before Computers) I used to go to University libraries and search the card files for references to Errol Flynn. These were small deep drawers full of reference cards. You had to jot down the information on the card then go hunt it up on the library shelves. Very few movies available but plenty of magazines and newspapers. You could read Errol’s magazine contributions in the original publication. This is where I came up with the the term “Flynn Detective”. It took me five years to obtain a hardbound copy of Showdown, after advertising for it in magazines here and in Europe. My daughter’s mother found it among the books on a shelf lining a cafe wall and asked if she could purchase
      the book. The cafe owner said she could have it for whatever price was inside the book cover. $4.00. She gave it to me for Xmas … Today, of course, you just search for it online, and take your pick of many choices!

    This is one of my favorite movies. I think Errol was more like Errol
    with his quick wit!
