Flynn plays the role of Nick alongside Jessica Stone as Honey. They play the young couple visiting George (Michael Permutter) and Martha’s (Tracy Williams Sutton) home for a faculty party.

Yes, thank you, Genene. Here is some info and imagery, plus a review from Facebook:

“Sean Flynn (grandson of the famous Errol) is excellent in the role of Nick. Wolfish from the start, he paces the stage with predatory, loose-limbed confidence … ”

Sean Flynn has big shoes to fill indeed. The 1966 film version of “Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?” was critically acclaimed. Elizabeth Taylor won a Best Starring Actress Oscar (her 2nd) for her performance and lovely Sandy Dennis won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar. Richard Burton was nominated for Best Starring Actor Oscar and in Sean’s role George Segal was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Both Burton and segal who did outstanding work lost. Sadly Dennis, Taylor and Burton have left us. Ralph Schiller

I’m new to the blog and in looking around I noticed many posts like this one about Errol’s children and grandchildren but there doesn’t seem to have been a post about Deirdre’s 70th birthday last month. Is there a reason for that? Anyway, happy belated birthday, Deirdre! Linda

You’re right, Texas Gal! Deirdre’s birthday should have been noted! Thanks for mentioning it :-)

Here you go, Texas Gal. Thank you for bringing this up! Wherefore do you not post a dedicated post on this?!

I’m not sure what you mean by a dedicated post, Tim. But at least you got “wherefore” correct this time!

By “dedicated”, Texas Gal, I mean singularly devoted to the topic. By “wherefore” I (again) mean “for what purpose?”

In other words, Texas Gal, I am inquiring why you do not create a new post, rather than just criticize other people’s posts for what you claim to perceive to be inaccuracies or omissions? Wherefore “Texas Gal”?

Thank you, Tim. I’m not sure how to do a dedicated post for a new topic but I will look into it the next time. Also, I’m sorry if it seems like I was criticizing but I really was not trying to. As an English major I’ve certainly been embarrassed myself when I’ve made a grammar faux pas (and tried to explain it away!), so I know the experience. I was only trying to point out the misuse for accuracy’s sake but won’t do anything like that again. My apologies.

I’m leaving these three comments up since things resolved themselves but this is getting over into the area where the comment guidelines have not been followed. Tim should be more aware of this than Texas Gal who is learning the ropes here. Texas Gal is a subscriber with no Author priviledges just yet, Tim. :-)

Thank you for the explanation, David. It is clearer now. I have looked through much of the blog since coming here and it seems there has been a lot of heated and critical dialogue so I didn’t think I was out of line. I guess sometimes it’s allowed, but I will follow the rules of the guidelines.

Texas Gal, thanks! We’ve had some disciussions that have strayed into personal antagonisms and while this has never been the norm it has occurred and steps were escalated to the point that I will just delete them. Unfortunately, if I don’t catch them quickly they can be sent out to subscribers before I see them. You can debate our subject but if it gets personal or antagonistic in tone nobody wants to read it. Readers write to complain to me, or unsub. So, going forward, I try to nip it in the bud. When anybody engages in this, it hurts the blog. This is everybody’s home, and I want everyone to feel safe and comfortable when they come here to enjoy the blog. :-)

David, thank you again for further explaining. I just thought that maybe there was some seniority involved with who was able to post in a more heated and personal way and who wasn’t. As you suggest, I will continue to refrain from responding in any personal or antagonistic way, but I would hope blog members will feel free to point out any errors I might make in a posting.

Thanks, Texas Gal. We are all free to make civil non personal comments about each other’s posts to futher discussion and correct flaws if possible. But we don’t want any kind of antagonism or fighting going on. Everyone has a right to post what interests them about Flynn but being hyper critical or taking pot shots isn’t allowed. We’re here to have fun after all!

Sure thing! I’m a Texan but not a fighter! Are there really members who ask to be unsubscribed?

Only when they see negativity, and bickering, but yes, they do leave over this, and tell me why!

                      -Admin

That’s sad. And do the bickerers get to stay? (I’m thinking about starting my own blog and this is interesting information)
