I am sorry to be so bold and ask the much more informed body of this membership a few questions, which are of great interests to me. It puzzles me very much as to why Errol's estate was for 14 years in probate, does anybody know the real reason? 14 years is a very long time! There was a will and Patrice received the estate, there was Nora who contested the will, there was Beverly who contested the will, but all this could have not taken 14 years, there must have been other issues – what were the issues?
Why did the sale of the ZACA did not go through as arranged in Vancouver? I thought the papers were signed? Has anybody conclusive and
irrefutable information about this situation as to why and how this long probate could have ever happend? In an interview Patrice says the ZACA was taken away from her. How – if it was under probate? All this is another great mystery in Errol's aftermath! We are told Patrice had no money, but how does this come into the picture? Once there are assets, there are no questions about money, because the money is in the assets! I think Errol was shafted and mislead all his life by somebody or another! It is horrible to think, but I am coming somehow to the conclusion he never had an honest person around him? I can believe that he was very naive in many ways and things, but nobody is that naive! Your valued insight would be very much appreciated!

Tina, Wow, 14 years really is a long time. If that is the way it is, it has all the hallmarks of the US federal government at work, in particular, the IRS. Errol and the IRS were at war over his supposed unpaid taxes, and Lili Damita's lawyers were also snapping at his heels. I would hazard a guess that the IRS was trying to take ownership of the Jamaica properties, and international tax law sounds like a nightmare. That is just my hunch anyway. I will try and check it out. John

That would be great! The IRS want money NOW keeping the estate that long in probate would not serve the IRS very well, plus the IRS received all the royalties from his books, that should pay a fair lump!
Lily received Mulholland Farm and sold it – that should have paid her off.
I think there is a lot more to it than the IRS or as they say “The Eye Meets”.

Errol’s property in Jamaica and the ZACA was handled over to Patrice Wymore the legal WIDOW of Errol Flynn. Flynn had a few wills which he never got notarized. I had one that was notarized and he was still married to Pat. I have given that one to Sean.
Pat hired a crew from Majorica to sail the Zaca to JAMAICA where she was going to keep it there. Once the ZACA got into international waters, Flynn’s attorney hired a crew and a boat to hijack the Zaca on the high seas. He always made the claim it was in lieu of payment for all the legal work that he had done for Flynn.
Errol bought Jamaica so the IRS (grab boys) or Lilly could never ever get a dime of it. After Flynn died Beverly said there was another will and if there was Errol never got it notarized. He had no intention to marry Beverly, he was broke and couldn’t afford another wife. He had gotten a vasectomy so her idea of having a child by him was never going to happen. Errol never took care of any of his affairs as a lot of people do. I’ve never read that the estate in Jamaica was in probate. Patrice had told Deirdre that her attornies she had in NYC had all her affairs were done and taken care of

It must have been an intense serve-volley match up for the ownership of the EF Estate between Justin Golenbock and Melvin Belli, the favorite two former lawyers for Flynn (not to mention Jerry Giesler). The mother of Beverly Aadland was sure they would get a third of the estate by the time she wrote The Beautiful Pervert. But there were dozens of claims by single persons dating back to the Will Tell shooting to be sorted out too.
As far as the Zaca goes, the common understanding is, that Pat left the yacht to Golenbeck for services rendered. He in turn left her to rot in Villefranche with the interior ending up in a restaurant in Bremerhafen /Germany. On an interesting side note, actor-producer William Marshall (The Adventures of Captain Fabian) was also seeking to get paid from the estate for a long time and stated he had a stake in the Zaca. If the prospective Canadian buyer Caldough went into the litigation mix wether or not the deal for $100.000 had gone through, I do not know, but he was broke anyway…
