Here’s Aidan hitting the ground again, this time for Time, with no Flynn in sight, just an empty horse:

Thank you, Maria! – Liz Whitney, between Errol and Lili. With one of FDR’s top New Dealers (and now suspected Soviet agent) Harry Hopkins. No Aidan Roark in sight.

This was taken not too long after Errol’s duking out Aidan Roark and some unnamed character, I believe. Liz doesn’t look the least bit angry at Errol for spicy up her Pasadena polo party …

Thanks Maria. She was said to have been very “free spirited” and “devil-may-care”. (Somethin like Flynn perhaps!) All that, her good looks, and hall-of-fame level horse(wo)manship must have helped her land Jock Whitney, too.

As a sidebar: Long after it was preeminent real estate rural Brooklyn(!), I grew up on the old bayside peninsula estate where Jock Whitney’s Dad and Grandfather (William C. Whitney) lived part time and bred horses. It was very near the once world renowned Sheepshead Bay Racetrack (which itself was owned by Winston Churchill’s in-laws, the Jeromes. Whitney donated most all that estate to the children of New York as permanent parkland, across from which was land for modest homes, one of which I grew up in.

So, on behalf of myself and my family, thank you very much Whitneys!

          Here’s Liz!

Maria, what sort of photo posting troubles are you having? You can host an image in our Media library, get it’s address there and use it to inssert the image into a comment using the “You can add images to your comment by clicking here” link. Hope that helps.

I think you have to use text in a comment with an image or it will be marked as spam ..
