Errol in peril! He had a certain reputation to keep, right or wrong!

Wallace Berry who was a cabin boy on-board the ZACA wrote to me:
Fleming drove the car – if I remember correctly, the day we found Zaca! wb
You can’t get better information than this, chums … thanks so much, Wallace …

THANKS, Wallace! Was that at the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco? (Btw, I was just there yesterday.)

Great quote, sanfranheinz! … After one of those scuffles he “saw”, Errol hid out at Sally Stanford’s place for a week or two!!
And, yes, with one of my sons, I’ve had the good fortune to be on a week-long tour of some of Errol’s more famous nautical ports – Catalina, Coronado, and San Fran, among others. Poseidon willing, I will post some photos in the coming week.*
*btw, especially knowing you’re such a big basebal fan (and practitioner), I should let you know that I also (last week) searched Hot Springs, Arkansas, for signs of Flynn. I did not find any evidence of Errol (though I’m sure he must have visited this legendary hot spot!), but I did get to hang with the immortal Bob Gibson for a day, at the premier of The First Boys of Spring. Also got to hang with, got some cool inside info, and had a lot of good laughs, with long time best friends of Billy Bob Thornton, who narrated the film.

Wow, Timber Tim, beachcombin’ and baseballin’ at the same time. By the way I had the time of my life when Yankee Legends attended the opening of Austria’s first ballpark many springs ago. Yogi Berra even mumbled at me!

btw, scuffleheinz, here´s a rare video of Errol scuffling. From the looks of it, perhaps it was fimed after swilling one too many spiked Mai Tai´s in Chinatown, or perhaps right here in T.J.
