    It was on the internet while looking for other topics on Errol Flynn. I am not saying it is correct but it said “fencing painting of Errol Flynn” It is similar though, right? But then we never know really if everything on the internet is real, I thought it was a good suggestion to add it to the blog.

      It does look like a portrait of Flynn, most certainly!

          I agree it’s not a good likeness but the intent is there by the artist. There is a rather full bio of Errol on the page the link goes to. :-)

        I am only 50% convinced, so I also say it is not EF.

          A fact I now see that should figure into our analysis is that this was supposedly painted on April Fools Day, 1930 – during his pre-fame days in New Guinea –

      Personally, I would say no, it’s not Flynn, Don Jan. Though the fencer is perhaps appearing to emulate the elan of Errol, the facial features just aren’t all there. Moreover, I’m not sure how often Errol attired in fencing apparel, or associated with any organization with the crest above his left shoulder.

      Pardon my French, but I score this a “No touche”.
