August 7th – 24 hour marathon of Errol's movies on TCM

17 Jul

Hello Everyone!
I wonder if anybody on this Blog knows if August 7th is a
special date in Errol's life or carrier for TCM to put on this 24 hour
marathon of his movies?

They will show 11 movies.

Gentleman Jim

Robin Hood

Virginia City

Uncertain Glory

Edge of Darkness

San Antonio

The Sea Hawk

Don Juan

The Prince and the Pauper

Object Burma

The Green Light

I just saw yesterday “Cry Wolf” and July 27th they will show “The Charge
of the Light Brigade” and “Essex”

TCM shows a lot of Errol's movies all year round, which is great!

August 7th is the 75th anniversary of Flynn's very first day of filming in his very first starring role: Captain Blood. It's either a coincidence or the gang at TCM knows their stuff (and cares). I vote for coincidence.

    Hi Robert;
I never thought you are a pessimist?!? Ah – I can't believe it!
TCM plays a lot of Errol's movies – every month there are movies shown of Errol. They showed in the last 6 month 30 movies of Errol and there are scheduled at least 30 more til October. July 27th will be two movies “They died with their boots on” and Essex 4:00 and 6:00 pm EST. All the movies are listed on Errol's TCM site and one can receive an e-mail reminder. Last year they showed 46 movies. I keep the dates on my calendar.
I think TCM is very good to Errol. Give us a smile :-)
Thank you very much for the clarification of the date, I thought there had to be a reason!
Take care and smile – Errol always smiled.
    All the best to you,
    Tina
