Thank you Mr. Team, for that precious pic never before seen. I wonder if that is the same horse that appeared in the Marx Bros. movie “At the circus” from 1939 in the pretty ditty “Step up and take a bow.”

@ Gentleman Tim – is that a palomino? if so, looks like the same one Olivia de Havilland (Maid Marian) rode in that same movie Robin Hood, of which eventually ended up being “Trigger” Roy Rodgers horse on his series… Beautiful horse…

Yes, Sergio, you’ve got your finger on the Trigger. That is Golden Cloud, star of the Silver Screen. Here he is with two other Hollywood immortals:

Gentleman Tim – in fact Golden Cloud is in a couple of different scenes in Robin Hood: Maid Marian as we know – also after Robin makes his night escape from the castle and shoots a few chasing him with his bow and arrow while riding and turning around to do so – you can really see in the scene following when they stop and dismount Golden Cloud in allowing him to gallop a different direction so to lure the enemies away from them.
By the way that famous night chase was reused in the “Adventures of Don Juan” (typical Jack “tightwad” Warner trying to save a buck or two); s you can say that Golden Cloud was in at least two movies with Errol…
        Adios!

Very Cool, Sergio! That should go into all the Trigger & Roy Rogers biographies.

Like Flynn himself, Trigger was truly amazing. Errol was the better fencer, but Trigger the better dancer:

@Gentleman Tim – hahaha, that’s great – but Trigger was a better dancer… Also the video was pretty cool…

Am I correct in saying that Trigger was sent out to the pasture and forgotten about until Roy seen him while in search of a horse in his series?
