Thanks TWIN but I was actually reaching for tid bit info if whether Avie Lee Hern was the true owner and/or whatever happened to it – how much it cost – you know just being a pest of knowing little things..

I know the sword you share is a real fine quality and could more than likely compare with the swords or better then that of 1100’s owners – but in actuality, Errol’s sword and others from the movie were of certain type of material, Duralumin, which would actually bend, with dull blades.

What the sword is/was worth (?) is of course of who held it and the movie used in, surely not the quality you kindly share we us.
With all this being said; I know that the majority of you in this wonderful blog site already know most of these things I mention – so I apologies in advance for any notations I make which sounds like I am actually teaching any of you something of great find. ;-)

Looking at the photo at the museum the handle on the sword does not appear to be the same as the one EF is holding ‘straddling the Friar. Anyone else notice that…?

Yes I have no idea about the movie sword. I wish I had an extra 900 bucks to blow on this repro.
