Blessed with all the beauty!

04 Apr

Here is another treat for all of you! Does anybody have this lovely picture of our hero? I don't think so!  If you do by any chance, which I doubt – please post it here too!

    Tina, I went looking in my computer for the original, and look what I found… but can't remember where I got it from, must have been quite some time ago though. The background is different… Maybe you did both of them?

    I have a colour version of the same image. I'm pretty sure it came with a batch of old postcards that I bought. I think there were two colour images from Robin Hood – very nice too.

    Hi Brian;
    I love this picture! It would be wonderful if you could post yours too! It's not a very well known picture and the blog deserves the best! Do you agree?
    Take care,
    Tina

    Hi Inga;
    Trust you to have a similar picture! Wonderful!
    Your picture is different it looks like somebody tried to do something funny with the background. It looks like a child did some crayon work to the background. Not a professional background I would say. Quite weird!
    Thanks for publishing!

    The photo is not that unknown. In fact, it has been used in various promotional ways. For example:

    Here's an idea for a quiz question: Who can find an EF picture which Robert has never seen before? I doubt it will be possible!

    Funny! On the contrary, in my Chronology research at the WB Archives I've been gathering scores of photos I've never seen. In fact, I am astounded with every folder I open! The plan is to include in the book as many of these treasures as I can.

    When it is enlarged it looks quite professional, I think the person who made it wanted to indicate movement…not sure though.

    Hi Inga;
    You are a tease! How can anybody beat Robert when he has Warner Brothers archives at his fingertips. He sits on the Goldmine!
    Good try!

    Don't really know. The more I delve into research the more I find. It's daunting, but it will be worth all the effort when I'm done. A good guess as to completion would be the end of summer.

    Hi Tina,
    Would love to post it but there doesn't seem to be an attachment option when I reply to your posts. Any ideas why not? The other option would be to create a new post, which I am hesitant to do.
    By the way I have e-mailed both Inga and yourself the first of the Friends of Errol Flynn fanzines, so check your inbox's.
    best wishes,
    Brian.

    Brian, there is an explanation somewhere on the left as to how to add pictures to a comment.

    Hi Brian;
    Here is what I do to create a picture in a comment. If you have a question e-mail me.
    Posting a picture to a COMMENT
    First step: is to upload the picture into the main gallery or if you have created a gallery of your own – in that case into your own gallery.
    2nd step: Open the Main Page of the Blog and click on “POST NEW ENTRY”
    click on the little mountain icon and then click on the picture you wish to publish in a comment. (browse and upload)
    When the picture appears – right click on it and a drop-down menu will appear from it select “view selection source” (if you have a MAC you have to first click left and the right click) – another pop up will appear – title of this pop up is “DOM Source of Selection” – now copy the BLUE line paste it onto a Word Page – (just in case you lose it) – now get out of this page.
    3rd step: Go to the article for which you wish to make a comment. Press REPLY – type your message and Paste the Blue link in a line by itself below your message.
    It works for me but David has published how to add a picture to a comment or a video and you find his explanation on the left side of any page on the blog pages amongst the various buttons. i.e. New Articles, Photos, The Films, Directors etc.etc.etc.
    Hope that helps and I look forward to your picture.
    Take care, Tina
