This man was connected in the same way, but with one degree of separation more.

The picture below is Richard Schayer a Hollywood writer, which he also was in the movie ‘Circus Rookies’ and George K. Arthur played Francis Byrd in this silent movie and Richard Schayer was a writer for ‘Kim” – Errol’s movie.
So there is a connection to Errol with Richard Schayer and a connection of Richard Schayer with George K. Arthur, but how Errol has a connection with George K. Arthur has stymied me.

Yes, Tina. Very good! We have entered the world of pre-Flynnian Hollywood with these two gentlemen and their very notable circle of cinematic celebrities in the early Thirties.

The answer to this quiz could be found regularly in the below depicted locations. Indeed, the answer can still be found there!

Maybe they both sailed after 1935 on the Hearst yacht Oneida to Catalina or to another Channel island and on board was Charlie Chaplin and George K. Arthur as well.?

Neither the Oneida nor any Arthur or Schayer cinematic work is involved, Tina. But “The Bachelor” is.

Tiger Lil’ wasn’t too happy about the name or concept of “The Bachelor”, Tina. Nevertheless, Errol soon sailed her to Ensensada for some fun in the sun. I believe Dolores del Rio may have joined them.

This quiz was inspired by and connects directly to a topic very recently discussed on the EFB.

    Ahoy Y’All.

While Errol was sailing the South Seas, Mack Sennett, Max Fleischmann and Richard Schayer were partying on and off of Catalina Island. Charles K. Arthur later bought a boat and did the same.

On September 28, 1937, Harrison Carroll reported:

“Errol Flynn has succumbed to the lure of a sleek yacht. The Warner star dug into his Robin Hood jeans over the week-end and bought a 75′ craft which he will call the Sirocco. It is 30′ longer than his other boat, which was turned in on the trade, and will be equipped with two auxiliary engines.

Flynn plans to go a-sailing as soon as he finishes his picture.”

    Before completion of Robin Hood:
