Thank you David for putting this up. I remember when Rory was very uncomfortable to speak in public . At his 100 Birthday. But he sure has gotten over that. I am so happy for her that people appreciate her dads movies like we do. Love Genene

She was shy about doing this at first. I remember telling her, They (the audience) already love you … if you feel nervous use that energy to energize what you say and just be yourself. They want to to hear what you are going to say, want to get to know you a little, and have a few laughs along with everything you are saying. Rory has a charming presence, can deliver a funny story, and has spoken to large crowds who give her standing ovations after she speaks. Her talks have had standing room only crowds and been wonderfully received wherever she goes.

I just started on this sight. I was looking for any posts on the new movie that’s beginning production right now called “In Like Flynn”. It’s listed on IMDb, but there’s very little information about it. I didn’t see anything about it in that news clipping about Rory on 6/2/2016.

This is what I posted in the blog at IMDb:

“Recently, I finished reading Mr. Flynn’s last book, My Wicked, Wicked Ways; an autobiography. Originally the title was supposed to be “In Like Flynn”, but the publisher rejected that title.

If you look around, there are some firsthand accounts of Errol Flynn out there by people who worked with him, by his friends, and by his family.

This is the story of a daring adventurer, who was filled with desperation and fear.

He was an unabashed pleasure seeker, and an escapist trying to run away from constant psychological and physical pain.

He was considered a shameless womanizer, who took advantage of the young & naive, but he was in fact embarrassed to death by his worldwide reputation as a “Stud”, and he was also afraid of strong women.

Even if you knew nothing else about Errol Flynn, anyone who has ever seen the movie Robin Hood knows that he was a stunning physical example of a man. But did you know that he had Tuberculosis, Malaria, an Enlarged Heart, and that he kept collapsing on set while filming Robin Hood?

Errol Flynn says about himself; “Fear, and the fight against it, have been with me all the days of my life”.

Flynn’s last wife, Patrice, said; “He was a very lonely man, a very intelligent – very sensitive – a wonderful sweet warm human being” … “”To the contrary to the public image as being the sort of rowdy roustabout”.

Here was a man who admitted that he was suicidal, and that he cried more than most men.

Here was a man who loved his children with all his heart.

    Here was, a man.

I hope this new film does justice to this very complex and damaged man, who in telling us about his real life has shown us an image of ourselves.”

True tales Tony…..Errol is our youth and it seems he will always be young in our minds and thoughts of him. He never really gave up even if he may have thought about it time to time. He lived it to the very end and as much as one would say “sinner man” But he was blessed with a full life , wives children, lands, ships, fame, money and now a legacy in film and books. He burned his candle bright both ends to the middle…how many can say that?

Yup! Keep on keepin on Rory! Being in front of the camera and even behind it sometimes does not require oratory. This is the next chapter in Rory’s life and I have always had the same stage fright when having to speak! I almost passed out once when asked to tell my story in front of only 100 people! When it came time for book reports in school i was cherry red and spoke so soft the teacher had to give me a choking slap on the back to get it out…LOL… Those girls were so pretty and they remind me of my 3 sisters, then again Errol looks so much like me Dad holding Rory!
