    Lili Damita was quite an accomplished screen star. I wish she had continued her efforts. She particularly good at comedy from what I’ve seen. And as a model she was a Super Model by today’s standards …

    Yup! another July bug! Errol was pushing July at June 20th.
    I’m told that is the cusp. I’ve known so many men and women born late June all through July. My sisters B-Day is July 11.
    Old friends are June 22, 28, 29 July 4, 18, ……..Then July 1 for Livvie….so many more I can’t recall at present…..

      Yes, she was certainly a Le Force of July, timerider. Francly speaking, however, my 1905 reference may well be wrong. She is more frequently said to have been born in 1904. Occasionally it’s claimed that she arrived in 1901. She sometimes herself claimed 1909, at least after she hooked up with Errol, who was in fact of course born in 1909. Later in life it was 1908.

      So concerned was Lili about the public learning year of her, she may have even shortchanged herself four years of Social Security benefits with a date of 1908!? (Though I’d bet she corrected that come collection time!)

        Does anyone reading this have any knowledge of Lili’s connection to the “Chapel Playhouse” in Guilford, Connecticut, mentioned on her Social Security Account Number Application depicted above?

      You’d better hope she’s not reading the blog, bdayheinz. If she is, you may be in for some hellacious harrassment from Tiger Lil’. Beith especially be wary of ever mentioning that 1901 date! She might hurl a lethal dose of ectoslime at you for that. Who knows, … Lili might well be short for Lillith.
