    Very cool, Karl! You always find such great, rare Flynnicana. Thanks so much for sharing it!

    The Duke was in this movie, too. Several years earlier, in 1925, he starred in another rescue, one at Newport Beach totally unconnected to the Joseph Conrad novel. I suspect he was included in this film because of his legendary rescue of ’25:

    Duke Kahanamoku and The Superhuman Rescue
