I read this eight months ago.
My recollection…
It read like a sequel to MWWW, told first person by an already dead Errol!
Not a great book but an intelligent, unusual work of imagination.
Students and followers of Flynn's life will appreciate the affectionate tone, and there's some original research behind the necessarily fictional thoughts and motivations.
The known facts are fantastic enough and the author fleshes them out with mostly convincing invention and some fresh viewpoints.
Quite a few somber notes throughout; instructive rather than entertaining; generally satisfying. Nice tribute to Beverly Aadland.

I'm actually reading this book at the moment. I'm not sure at the moment about whether I like it or not. I think this is mainly due to the fact that most of the narrative is fictitious. Hopefully I will have made my mind up by the time I've finished it!
